Welcome to The Sexmuseum Amsterdam (Venustempel) !
The Amsterdam Sex Museum or Venustempel is situated not far from Amsterdam Centraal (Central Station). Therefore museum is very easy to reach and find.
The museum has a rich collection which includes old and modern exhibits. A tour of the museum takes visitors on a journey through several ages of the history of sex, erotic and art as a part of mankind.
It is the first and oldest sex museum. The museum was open in 1985.
There are rooms named after famous persons - Mata Hari, Marquis de Sade, Oscar Wilde, Marquise de Pompadour, Rudolf Valentino etc. Visitors are allowed to take photos and film. The museum has many interesting exhibits including old erotic photographies, sculptures, statues and so on.

Holiday in The Netherlands
We fell in love with The Netherlands. This is a small, forestless, flat country. But this country is very beautiful. Beautiful "chocolate" houses, straw-roof houses in the countryside, the net of canals and bike paths, English-speaking people who are friendly to visitors, plenty of museums of all kinds make The Netherland a great tourist destination.
Museums of Amsterdam
There are many museums in Amsterdam. Tourists can visit The Royal Palace, Madame Tussauds Museum from "the observation desk" of which we can see The Dam Square from above.
Anne Frank House is very popular. It may takes a couple of hours to come in becouse of a long queue. In front of Anne Frank House there is Homomonument made of granite and has a shape of triangle by a canal. The Homomonument is dedicated to all LGBTQ victims of any agression.
The Homomonument has a shape of triangle because gay people in concentration camps had to wear a little pink triangle on their robes.
You can also visit several Sex Museums. Here we have published photos from The Sex Museum that is near Amsterdam Centraal ( Central Station ). Toutist can visit museums of marihuana or condoms.
Dwingeloo in Drenthe province
Our friends took us to Dwingeloo which is located in province of Drenthe. We lived in a bungalow among trees. We walked and rode rented bycicles along local paths and bike paths. Dwingeloo Camping is very popular. You can meet here visitors from other parts of the country and from other countries of Europe.
We took part in celebration of The Harvest Day that is an annual event.
At the end we would like to say that The Netherlands is a wonderful country. You definitely will like it. People living here took a lot of land from the sea. They are real heroes. Mostly people are very polite and frendly and speak English. Visit The Netherlands and you won't regret it !
