Vordingborg, Møn island.

Trip to Møn island...

Being on holiday in Denmark we spent a lot of time in Ørslev village that is situated in few kilometres away from the town of Vordingborg.
We had step scooters and one day we decided to visit Møn island which is a very beautiful place with stunning landscapes. This island is famous among tourists because of The White Cliffs.
The White Cliffs were popular in the past among painters.
It took almost all day long to reach Møn island from Ørslev, to have a picnic on the island and get back to the village. Even though we had scooters winds are very strong in Denmark, especially nearby The Baltic sea and they made our trip to Møn island a bit easier, but on our way back to Ørslev made riding scooters very difficult.
The wind was extremely strong on the bridge leading to Møn island. We were forced to walk and carry our step scooters.
But despite of all difficulies we did it and we were satisfied!

Welcome to Møn island

The town of Vordingborg in Denmark

In Vordingborg we spend a part of our honeymoon in 2015. Vordingborg is two hours away from Copenhagen by the train. The town is a very quiet place on the shore of The Baltic Sea; you won't see crowds of people in the streets. There are supermarkets in the town: Netto, Lidle, Aldi and Kvickly which is a Danish supermarket.
The most famous tourist attraction in Vordingborg is The Old Castle Ruins. This is a very cosy place from which you can enjoy wonderful views of the harbour.
Also you can see The Goose Tower which is near The Old Castle Ruins.
Some tourists arrive at harbour by yachts.
We only found two local bars, one of which is called Amigo Bar. When we entered the bar and people knew that we are Russians they welcomed us very friendly. The bar was overcrowded. Visitors were very kind to us! Thanks to them for hospitality.
From Vordingborg you can reach Møn island by bus and enjoy The White Cliffs which inspired artists and attract tourists.
If you travel buy train from Hambur, Germany to Copenhagen, the train usually stops at Vordingborg Station.
At the end, we would say, that Vordinborg is a very, very quiet place; few people in the streets; the town isn't popular among tourists. But this town has a special charm, its own atmosphere.
